About Us

Joshua Sandoval

Founder & Roaster

Joshua Sandoval's journey into the world of coffee began in Saint Louis, MO, where he discovered his passion while working for Kaldi’s Coffee. His dedication and skill propelled him to become one of their managers and lead baristas, showcasing his commitment to the artistry of coffee.

In 2014, Joshua answered a different kind of calling when he joined the United States Army as an Airborne Cavalry Scout, stationed in the rugged terrain of Anchorage, Alaska. Surrounded by the breathtaking landscapes of Alaska, he unknowingly unearthed his deep-rooted love for hiking and the great outdoors.

Amidst personal and professional challenges, a pivotal moment occurred when his friend, Keenan, invited him on what was meant to be a leisurely hike. Little did Joshua know that the 6-mile trek with a 2,300 ft elevation gain at Mt. Pilchuck Fire Lookout would become a transformative experience. It felt more like a battle than a casual stroll, reigniting his passion for the outdoors and leaving him hooked on the thrill of exploration.

Now, as the founder and roaster for FCC, Joshua's mission is clear—to craft and share exceptional coffee with those who brave the elements. Beyond the rich flavors of his coffee, Joshua aspires to create moments on the mountain where reflection and growth intertwine. For him, coffee isn't just a beverage; it's a facilitator of experiences, a companion for those embracing the challenges of nature and finding opportunities for personal development amid the peaks and valleys of life.

Henryk Staron - Kajkowski

Co- Founder, Photographer/Graphic Designer/Videographer

Henryk's journey began in the vibrant city of Warsaw, Poland, where he honed his competitive spirit, emerging as an accomplished martial artist. Amidst the disciplined world of martial arts, he discovered a parallel passion for visual storytelling, immersing himself in the art of photography and filmmaking.

His artistic prowess is reflected in a diverse portfolio, ranging from captivating landscape and wilderness photography to cinematic pieces that showcase highly trained and choreographed martial art sequences. This dual expertise captures the essence of his dynamic personality and creative range.

In 2014, Henryk embarked on a new chapter, moving to the United States with his wife and settling in rural Washington. Nestled in the serene landscapes, he now raises his two daughters, imparting to them the same adventurous spirit that fuels his creativity.

Despite not initially identifying as an experienced outdoorsman, Henryk embraced the challenge, eagerly immersing himself in nature and weathering the elements. His determination and resilience were further exemplified when he undertook the ambitious task of building a home for his family from the ground up. This endeavor, facing every trial the land could throw at him, earned him the respect of even the most seasoned adventurers and hardworking Americans alike.

Henryk's transformative journey from martial artist to self-taught visual storyteller, combined with his commitment to family and resilience in the face of nature's challenges, embodies the spirit of our coffee company. His lens captures not just images but the very essence of the outdoor experience, making him an integral part of our team and the visionary behind our brand's outdoor-inspired aesthetic.

"Today was the day for my first cup of

a little Mexican Honey and I must say it is the best cup of coffee I've had in many, many years and I don't say that lightly.

I love dark roasts and in this one I can taste all the chocolate nutty goodness. Its not heavy on the floral notes which I actually prefer. So its perfect. Smooth, balanced and perfect."

Wild Life Outdoors Podcast, AR

"That Mexican Honey roast is absolutely phenomenal! I’m the kind of guy that normally only likes coffee with creamer and sugar. I ran out of creamer the day before I received the coffee and didn’t get anymore in time. Out of pure excitement after smelling the coffee I decided to try it black, and I’m not sure I’ll ever drink it with creamer. The first coffee I have ever enjoyed black, can’t wait to try the other roasts!"

Ginny M., MT

"My husband and I had the El Salvadoran Bourbon last night and it was delicious. He drank it black and he never does that!"
